The Nuns of Romania

For hundreds of years, unfortunate ones have been murdered in the name of God. In 2005 a nun in eastern Romania was crucified by her priest after he believed she came under the possession of the Devil. After being deprived of food and water for 4 days, Sister Irina was gagged and chained to a cross where eventually her body could take no more and she faded away. She was indeed possessed, but not by the 'Devil' but by her own mind. Sister Irina had schizophrenia.
The complete lack of emotion and regret from the fellow nuns and priests shows exactly how destructive, powerful & control this type of blind faith is.
